Club wins Sport Manawatu Awards

The inaugural Grassroots Sports Awards were held by Sport Manawatu on Friday October 9 at the Palmerston North Convention Centre. The awards encompassed the Sports Clubs of the Year Awards and the Volunteer Coach of the Year Awards and it is the first time that these awards functions have been combined.

Our club received an Excellence Award as category winner for Volunteer Development, and a Merit Award in Event Management Category.

We thank Andy Martin for all his work in this. We have done well again.

Murray Matthews (Committee Member and our Equipment Officer) was one of the 3 runners up as Volunteer of the Year. He received a Merit Certificate. Well done Murray.
