Manawatu Secondary School Champs: Pre-registration is required for this event before end of day Friday 8th March. Registration open from 8:15am - 8:45am Transition open from 8:15am - 8:50am Race briefing for all school champ competitors is 10 minutes prior to the first race starting. Racing starts with swim first. Penguin Start or lane allocation will be confirmed when entries have closed as are dependant on numbers U19 will start first with the MTC Sprint distance When pool is clear, U16, then U14 will start, followed by the MTC 3/9/3 Triathlon. Start Types: Penguin start (i.e. seeded prior to swim start with fastest swimmers first). You will then dive into the pool at approx. 2-3 second intervals. Your timing will start when you cross the timing mat at the swim entry. Lane Allocation (if numbers allow this as max 2 per lane). Lanes will be randomly drawn and each swimmer will swim up and down their allocated name to complete the distance required. Safety is our utmost concern so please be safe when riding in groups and be wary & respectful of the other competitors. Cost and Age Groups $15 per individual (free if a member of Manawatu Triathlon Club) Age is determined by how old you are on 1/1/2024 as per Tri NZ rules for School Events.
U19: 400m swim, 19km bike (6 laps), 5km run U16: 300m swim, 9.5km bike(3 laps), 3km run U14: 300m swim, 9.5km bike (3 laps), 3km run
Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or are waiting on Covid test results.Linton Army Camp require all occupants of any vehicle over 18 years of age to produce their Drivers License or photo ID to gain access.
Registration for the Manawatu Secondary school champs must be done online prior to end of day on Friday 8th March 2024.
